Jim Champagne  Co-founder

If you meet Jim you will immediately be struck by his passion to make a difference. He has an overwhelming desire and proven track record of helping others achieve their goals. He also takes a great amount of pride in identifying and helping others discover the inner strengths they didn’t know they had. In his current role as co-founder of Achievement Resources, Jim has found an path to exercise his talent for making a difference.

Jim spent his early career sharpening his customer service skills while working in the service industry. He worked as a ski instructor, ski patroller, waiter, in various roles at hotels, as a restaurant manager, in retail and several other service roles. Most of his friends thought he would never settle down with one company, but he knew all the lessons he was learning now would be leveraged one day. In every one of those roles, Jim relished the opportunity to provide a bright spot in his customer’s day. He says that the challenge of meeting someone who was having a bad day and turning that around for them was the most rewarding. This was especially true when he helped injured skiers as a ski patroller. He also began to understand that he loved helping his co-workers and sought opportunities to help them improve themselves both professionally and as individuals.

His desire to improve himself led him back to school to pursue his masters in business administration. While at school, Jim continued to truly enjoy assisting others by providing leadership and guidance to his classmates. He had the opportunity to explore cultural variations and took classes at Laval University in Quebec Canada where he studied international business. His work at understanding both cultural and generational diversity served him well in his managerial roles and continues to serve him well in his current role.

After graduating from the University of New Hampshire with his MBA, Jim transitioned into Information Technology within the financial services industry where he spent 13 years in project management and managing organizations that serviced some of Fidelity’s biggest clients. At Fidelity Investments, he put all his career experiences together and quickly became an agent of change, process improvement, and team building. He was sought out to take over several troubled groups and to build teams based on mutual support and talent management. He managed implementations and ongoing technology support for both the stock compensation and Health Savings Account outsourcing businesses. Superior customer support built on honesty and a mutual respect became the hallmark of Jim and his teams in managing the day to day relationships with companies like Bank of America, Starbucks, H&R Block, Agilent, John Deere, Verizon Wireless, Best Buy and many others.

His desire to expand the scope of his positive influence and build a company based on a fun environment and teamwork have been realized with the co-founding of Achievement Resources. He enjoys spending time talking to people about teamwork and the strength of the American entrepreneur. He also loves entertaining friends and cooking his favorite dishes for them. Jim can either be found busy at work driving the growth of his company, his team and his clients, cooking at home or riding his mountain or road bike up the steepest and longest hills he can find in his native NH.

 Bernie  Mascot

Bernie is our mascot and is a purebred Saint Bernard. She was hired as the mascot for Achievement Resources because of her striking good looks and reliability. Bernie is big, strong, gentle, friendly and dependable with an old age wisdom, steady disposition and fierce loyalty. She does have a tendency to drool and snore, but we overlook those things and love her for who she is. She loves being around people and helping anyone in distress especially when she gets rewarded with a doggie treat and a hug.

Bernie’s experience includes watching over her brothers and sisters as a puppy and making sure they all had enough to eat. She also spent one year learning how to sniff out people who were buried in the snow. She really excelled at that and usually spent a lot of time rolling in the snow. We finally hired Bernie and she really likes the people that feed her she works with.

You will likely find Bernie sitting on a pile of ice cubes in the summer to keep cool or running around in the snow in the winter. She is always there to support the team especially when we need an extra tongue to seal envelopes.
